Sustainable innovation is part of Iluna's DNA and represents the majority of the company's investments, in continuity with the path of its founder Luigi now successfully undertaken by his heir Furio Annovazzi.
The company's sustainability commitment is attested by the STeP - Sustainable Textile Production by Oeko - Tex® certification for its ethical approach, and this certification covers all Iluna production. Iluna is also proud to be the first lace manufacturer to be awarded the GRS - Global Recycled Standard for processed products, and whose products are all OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
At a product level, Iluna was the first company in Europe in the lace field to convert all its stretch lace production to ROICA™ EF elastic yarn, GRS certified, and the first lace manufacturer to obtain GRS certification in 2018.
The company completed a self-assessment in April 2023 for the use of the Higg Index which measures and improves its sustainability.
