Iluna Group: excellence in innovation born from a brilliant intuition of the founder Luigi Annovazzi.

Following a trip to the United States, he adopted the technology of producing moulding cups for bras and quickly became a leader in the underwear business.

After a series of acquisitions and a targeted market strategy focused on high-quality lace, Iluna made its international debut in 1985, soon establishing itself as a leader in the lace industry, specialized in the production of elastic fabrics and, first in Europe, introduces onto the market the elastic laces knitted on electronic looms, competing then with French leavers laces.

It is the beginning of a successful story that makes the company a reference point in the international manufacturing industry

The dyehouse is inaugurated, and represents another milestone in the history of Iluna Group's success and created many new possibilities of product customization and variation.

Thanks to a worldwide production, commercial and distribution network, today Iluna is among the top 3 global players in the lace industry. Laces of best quality constitute the company's core business, with solutions for underwear, corsetry, hosiery, beachwear and apparel, together with seamless products using Karl Mayer technology, and microfiber fabrics and tulle.

The beating heart of Iluna is ILUNA Lab, an incubator of technological and stylistic innovations, which gives life to unique innovations introduced then into the main collection series such as the Black Label, the company's flagship, which earned it the "Creators of the Year" award 2013”, among which the ultralight lace stands out.

Green Label is born: Iluna is the first company in the European lace field converting all its lace production to the use of ROICA™ EF recycled elastomer by Asahi Kasei and the first one to obtain the GRS Global Recycled Standard certification for the production chain.

Iluna was selected among the protagonists of the Sustainable Thinking Exhibition of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, for its value in the field of responsible innovation. In fact, on 12 April 2019 in Florence, the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum inaugurated a true narrative journey on the pioneering intuitions of its Founder, in the research of natural, recycled and innovative materials, as well as on the most recent experiments in the green field. Sustainable Thinking is a narrative that aims to trigger food for thought on the increasingly urgent and topical issue linked to greater attention to the environment as a whole.

With a production site equipped with all types of latest generation Karl Mayer looms, Iluna works incessantly, respecting always its high quality, ethical and sustainability standards.
